Dear Mishika,

We wanted to capture all the wonderful memories that you have been creating, for your near and dear,  through this blog.

Your mom is so completely enamoured by you that these days she cant think beyond you.
Your dad has to be content to keep staring at your pics and videos. I am eagerly awaiting the reunion of our small family of three! To start our new life in God's own country!

Meanwhile you have become a little celebrity in your right by just being yourself.
preliminary Indications from you is clear. You are not going to be an easy on your parents!
Your mom has taken the full brunt of all your tantrums while you were in her womb. It is only a wonder that it now seems like a distant memory to us. The joy of seeing you makes us oblivious of everything.

Mishika, we can't wait to see you grow up. you are truly our world and we will cherish you with all we have. We love you.

Mishis and her sleep troubles!

Mish I must say, putting you to sleep is a rather tough job! Hari thatha had devised a method of putting you to sleep within 5 mins.. By singing baba black sheep  loudly! somehow the repetition of baba baba along with the rocking motion would put you to deep sleep. In fact, thatha used to gloat about the fact that he was the only one in the family who could put you to sleep within 10 mins!

But you decided around 2 weeks back that thatha had gloated enough! And so you started howling as soon as thatha would start  with even "baba". You have now left him looking  frantically for other options to regain his lost glory!

These days your favorite song happens to be "raabta". You usually go to sleep listening to that song. Occasionally, I play my favorite tracks from yanni.. you love that as well! You listened to a lot of yanni when you were in amma's tummy, so ammas not surprised that you like yanni!

You look like a doll when you sleep. I love just gazing at you while you are sleeping.. Both your paatis have told me that's not a very good thing to do.. Kannu pattudum they say.. But I'm not going to miss out on these precious moments! Love you mishi!

Mishi's favorite time pass!

Mishi, you are almost 6 and a half months old now.. I cannot believe you are growing so fast!
Your favorite  activity these days is tearing up newspapers into bits and pieces..I and your thathi are constantly worried about your dirty habit of putting everything in your mouth and licking it!
You are also greatly fascinated by  polythenes.. the other day, you pulled out all your pants from the polythene and nicely spread them all over the bed.
On hearing this, Magi periamma was full of appreciation about your motor skills!

Did I mention that you are the cutest baby ever! I and your Appa are so proud of you!
I wake up to your smiling face every day, eagerly waiting for your next new feat!

Just born two days ago.  You gaze is fixed.  You seem so sure at what are you looking at.

Dearest mishi, today you have achieved an important milestone! You had your first bite, rather lick, of solid food! After much deliberation we decided to start you on the sattanathan family's favorite fruit, banana! As expected of a true blue sattanathan family descendent, you enjoyed every bit of it. For days we have seen you observing us adults relishing sweets and savories -ukkarai, cheedai, payasam, tengozhal, with keen interest.. Your time will come soon! Your appas yearning for the day when he can take you out to baskin robbins for your first ice cream. He's hoping that you would be at least a wee bit of the gourmet that he is. I on the other hand, am just praying that you don't trouble me with your greens and veggies! Can't wait for you to grow up!,
